MistaRogers came up from Ohio and built much of his career in California, developing a catalog that connects a Midwest perspective with West Coast motion. The work is defined by consistent output, a clear identity, and writing rooted in real life.
Through MoneyHungry, his own independent label, he released records on his own terms and kept ownership of the work. The 2015 project Dying to Live, hosted by DJ Drama, anchored a run of releases that carried across streaming, video, and press.
